Overview

Many churches have seen music evolve from a piano/organ and choir, to a vibrant musical band with instruments that were once considered sacrilegious, such as guitars, drums, bass etc. Today, Susamachar has been the centre of formation for several bands including Celestial the Band, Divine Harmony and most recently, Susamachar Acoustic Strings. Brief History of the Group:

It was in March 2018, that Mr. George Poliah, Musical Director of our church, thought about another addition to the Music Ministry of Susamachar. In his ruminations, the name Susamachar Acoustic Strings came to mind and so S.A.S. was born. His aspirations of capturing the distinct tonal quality of the acoustic guitar to express the charm of God’s word as well as congregation involvement (singing with the band) has been actualized.

S.A.S membership grew continuously since its inception and became a regular part of our worship services. Despite the pandemic, few members of the group continue to bless the hearts of our congregation with three guitars, rhythm, and a vocalist. It is our hope that the congregation would continue to be inspired and blessed as you experience the authenticity, richness, charm, and warmth of the music.
